Fuji to Hood: A Very Pacific Beer Festival, But Also a Lot More
Hands across the water, this festival brings brewers from Oregon and Japan just a little bit closer together.
In Japanese, the term Kakehashi denotes a bridge between two cultures. Kyōdō suggests a collaboration or a combined effort. Both terms describe the spirit behind Fuji to Hood, the cross-Pacific festival held in Portland, Oregon, every other year. This year’s event on July 18th, 2026, promises to be bigger and better than before.

Peaks & Pints Friday Dark Lager Flight
Somewhere between the last glow of sunset and the first appearance of stars lives Von Ebert‘s beautifully balanced dark lager, all mahogany shimmer and quiet confidence. Toasted bread crust and gentle caramel drift through the aroma while subtle roasted nuttiness adds depth without ever tipping into heaviness. The palate unfolds with soft malt richness, a faint cocoa-like shadow, and just enough sweetness to remind you that restraint can be its own form of indulgence. Then, like evening air sliding down a canyon wall, the finish arrives crisp, cool, and remarkably refreshing.

If you walk into any of the three Von Ebert locations, you can drink an imperial pint of beer for a price you’d have paid in, what, 1995?

Cinco De Mayo Beer (Portland OR) – May 4 is Cinco De Mayo and Von Ebert Brewing is celebrating things with announced the release of two new takes on the Mexican lager. Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for “Fifth of May”) is an annual celebration that commemorates the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, but in the states its primarily a cultural celebration that pairs well with the right beer.
