The two-day Portland Farmhouse & Wild Ale Festival returns tomorrow for the first time since 2019, delivering, as the organizers say, “rustic, dry, tart, mixed-culture farmhouse ales and clean saisons, grisettes, table beers, fruit beers, and everything in between.”

The academy awards of Oregon beer were announced at the Oregon Beer Awards ceremony at Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon on April 6th, 2023. In 30 categories, 1,113 beers were entered by 126 brewing companies and 56 of them took home medals. In addition to the double-blind judged beer competition presided over by 88 judges over the course of 6 days of judging, there were another 8 awards in non-beer judged categories that were voted on by the OBA academy of over 300 industry peers.

Von Ebert Brewing and former Portland Trail Blazer Brian Grant have brewed a beer that will be released during a game next week at the Moda Center as a benefit for the Brian Grant Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of those who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Von Ebert Brewing, winner of the 2021 Oregon Beer Awards’ Medium Size Brewery of the Year, next week will release a new beer in collaboration with Brian Grant Foundation.

A new collaboration is set for release from Von Ebert Brewing and Breakside Brewery to benefit the Domestic Violence Resource Center from Beaverton, Oregon. Brave Noise Pale Ale, which is part of the worldwide Brave Noise Beer Movement, will be tapped at both Von Ebert locations and select Breakside locations on Wednesday, March 30th.

Von Ebert Brewing, winner of the 2021 Oregon Beer Awards’ Medium Size Brewery of the Year, will celebrate International Women’s Day by releasing Three of Cups this week.

Von Ebert Brewing is back at again with a free t-shirt giveaway when the brewer hosts Clubhaus Lager Day on Wednesday, February 23rd. The daylong event will celebrate Clubhaus Lager, the brewery’s award-winning American light lager made specifically for drinkers in the Pacific Northwest.

Von Ebert Brewing’s flagship IPA, Volatile Substance, had a great 2021. In the Oregon Beer Awards in May, it won gold in the American IPA category, edging ahead of two IPAs from Sunriver Brewing. Then in September, it followed that up by winning gold at the Great American Beer Festival in the highly competitive American IPA category as well.

Von Ebert Brewing, winner of the 2021 Oregon Beer Awards’ Medium Size Brewery of the Year, will release three new beers from its Heritage Beer program on Saturday: Realm of Illusion, Flaming Glow, and Under the In Between.

Gruit beers have had their place in history and Von Ebert Brewing is set to release one, Wermut, as part of hits Heritage Beer collection. Wermut is a mixed fermentation oak-aged gruit that’s packaged in 500mL bottles.

A new beer collaboration is about to see the light of day from Von Ebert Brewing and Portland newcomer’s Steeplejack Brewing. Taking place on Thursday, July 22nd, Von Ebert Brewing will host the release of Maid of the Mist – Modern Tropical Pilsner.

Von Ebert Brewing has released To Ellie, With Love, its latest beer in the brewery’s Heritage Beer program. To Ellie, With Love is a beer/wine hybrid that is dedicated to the two-year-old daughter of founder Tom S. Cook. The beer will eventually become an annual offering, with a different recipe each year.
