PORTLAND, Ore. — Today, Von Ebert Brewing launched an innovation as part of its new Von Ebert Presents series of non-beer offerings working their way into the 2026 lineup. The three non-alcohol sparkling hop waters, called Boost, Flow, and Chill, are the first in the series, which will later include hard teas, hard fruit punch, and hard seltzer, among others, to offer variety and appeal to more legal-age drinkers.

Two Oregon Brewers among Michael James Jackson Foundation (MJF) new Scholarship Recipients

The Michael James Jackson Foundation for Brewing & Distilling (the MJF) has announced a new round of technical education scholarships for people of color, including 2 members of Oregon’s brewing community.

Seven emerging professionals were chosen for the 10th round of MJF scholarships that help strengthen not only their individual careers but also the craft beer and spirits industries at large. With this new group, the MJF has now supported more than 70 awardees in accessing world-class brewing and distilling education.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - This Thanksgiving, Portland businesses made sure people had a warm place to go and a warm meal to eat.

“The idea to try and help each other out is the whole idea of Thanksgiving,” community member Richard Peterson said.

Peterson attended Prost!’s 17th annual free Thanksgiving dinner. He recently moved to the area.

“I don’t really have any place to celebrate yet,” he said, “and so, I just came out here to enjoy. I think it’s a really great idea.”

At last Saturday’s 2025 Great American Beer Festival the breweries and cideries of Oregon were celebrated with 30 awards, including 29 medals and a brewery of the year accolade. With 29 out of 347 medals awarded, Oregon ranked with the third most of any state behind only California and Colorado.

Oregon breweries took home an impressive haul of medals at this past weekend’s Great American Beer Festival in Denver.

In all, Oregon breweries and cideries took home 29 of the 347 medals handed out at what is widely considered to be the nation’s most preeminent beer festival. To put that another way, more than 8 percent of all available medals were awarded to Oregon, a state with just over 1 percent of America’s total population.
